Rewina Misghina is a graduate student in the Rehabilitation and Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She earned her BS in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2024. Her prior research investigates the interplay between healthy lifestyle interventions and adolescent mental health outcomes. Through her future research opportunities, she intends to focus on the experiences of families of color, neurodivergent individuals, and immigrant populations, with particular emphasis on factors such as sleep. Rewina wants to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology, where she aims to explore further the developmental trajectories of neurodivergent children in under-resourced communities and their progression into adulthood. Driven by her dedication to advancing her education in psychology, she aspires to contribute to developing accessible mental health services in her home country, Eritrea, ensuring that essential care reaches underserved communities. In her free time, Rewina enjoys traveling and spending time with family & friends.
