Ph.D. Program
The PhD Program in Health Related Sciences is an innovative hybrid program designed for working health professionals to learn research skills for solving real-world problems. Within this interdisciplinary program, students can receive mentorship in their specific area including Rehabilitation Counseling. Coursework in our program provides the foundation for conducting research with diverse populations and assuming leadership positions in academia, industry, and administration.
The Department of Rehabilitation Counseling welcomes highly qualified candidates to apply for the Ph.D. in Health Related Sciences. Our goal is to educate future leaders in our profession who wish to become educators, researchers, and high-level rehabilitation or mental health administrators. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or eligibility to become a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, as well as two years of post-graduate professional experience.
