Amira Turner serves as clinical director for the Partnership for Gaming and Health and Behavioral Sciences Director for the School of Dentistry.  She has her license as a clinical social worker.  Amira graduated from VCU with her Master of Social Work and from the International Programme in Addiction Studies with her Master of Science. Prior to joining the department in 2022, Amira served as an adjunct instructor since 2018.  She previously worked in a variety of roles targeting the opioid epidemic including public health, policy, harm reduction, and outpatient treatment.
