The Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) minor provides the foundational knowledge, practical skills, and credentials you need to stand out to employers and graduate programs alike.

Curriculum & Requirements

The minor requires a total of 18 credit hours. You will complete the following foundational and specialized courses:

  • RHAB 300: Introduction to Community Mental Health Services
  • RHAB 310: Community Based Case Management
  • RHAB 350: Mental Health & Wellness
  • RHAB 420: Multicultural Mental Health Services
  • RHAB 450: Theories & Techniques for Human Services
  • RHAB 495: Practicum in Rehabilitation

Hands-On Practicum Experience

Note: The RHAB 495 Practicum consists of 120 service hours completed directly within community agencies. Please note that specific prerequisites must be met before enrolling in RHAB 495.
